Cotton / Linen Curtain Fabric UK - by the Metre - Order Online
Cotton is the most common fabric used for curtains, blinds and cushions. As cotton is a natural fibre, it is much easier to crease than synthetic fibres. It's simple to work with, especially with a domestic sewing machine but most of all, it's straightforward to maintain and clean.
Cotton shrinks the most on its first wash, however, so you'll want to account for that. After the initial wash, the shrinkage settles down.
Linen is thicker and far more durable than cotton. Linen fabrics tend to look more natural than cotton due to the more noticeable weave. Like cotton, however, it's susceptible to creasing.
